Do you want to reduce total project costs or ease the burden on your in-house workforce? Quite a few Slovak and foreign companies have discovered the benefits of outsourcing and freelancers.

Let us now look at 2016 in numbers.

In 2016, there was a year-on-year increase in the number of filled jobs in each month and also an overall increase in the number of jobs. In total, there was a 30% increase in jobs per year.

Duration of Projects

In 2016, the average project duration increased by more than 2 months compared to 2015. This amounts to a year-on-year increase from less than 6 months to almost 8 months.

The increase can be attributed to growing corporate reliance on outsourcing. When it comes to larger IT projects, companies tend to prefer freelance specialists.

Category of Projects

As usual, a JAVA programmer was the most desired and most filled job in 2016. A .NET programmer is also a significant and very popular job. We filled 45 Java programmers (21% of all filled jobs) and 36 .NET programmers (17%). These jobs are followed by Web programmers (31 allocations – 14%). The number of Web programmers improved most compared to 2015 (up by 13 allocated jobs).

The fourth to sixth place goes to BI/DWH specialists (13 allocations – 6%), testers (12 allocations – 6%) and system administrators or business/ICT analysts (11 allocations – 5%).

The comparison of 2015 and 2016 shows a major increase in the number of filled jobs in each month. The greatest increase occurred in May, when the year-on-year difference amounted to 11 jobs, i.e. an increase from 8 to 19 filled jobs. In total, we filled 220 jobs in 2016. It is 51 more jobs than a year before and we want to and will keep this trend in 2016.

It is expected that the total number of filled jobs will continue to grow as the interest of freelancers in IT jobs keeps growing every year. The interest of customers keeps growing, too. The IT sector is evolving rapidly so it is important to be able to fill the desired jobs with specialist who follow new trends.

Whether you have insufficient internal capacities or you are looking for the right IT specialist who meets all of your expectations, TITANS are here for you. We look forward to our next year of great results and interesting projects!
