End-of-Year Evaluation by TITANS

A few weeks ago we all met to celebrate the end of the old year and welcome the new one. Before we move forward to 2020, let's look back and recap some of the achievements that we accomplished over the #yearof2019.

The Year in Numbers

A lot happened in 2019. The year brought the first images of black hole to scientists. It brought Greta Thunberg to the UN and it also brought the final Star Wars to cinemas. In terms of TITANS, it brought 195 successfully filled positions to us, whereby approximately a quarter of them (45 projects) were allocated off-site.

Q1 was our strongest quarter, proving that long winter days definitely can't stop us. Quite the opposite is true. We worked hard and allocated 57 TITANS to different IT projects.

Every year our Sourcing Specialists do a great job of finding the right people for client projects. In 2019 they approached more than 8190 candidates, 2880 of them were new candidates who were contacted by us for the first time.

Duration of Projects

In terms of project duration, long-term project were popular in 2019. Our TITANS spent on average 8 months on their projects. We are very happy about that as long-term cooperation reflects satisfaction of both the client and the freelancer.

At the same time, this is the proof of what we really care about at TITANS - it's important to always find the right match - the right candidate for the project and the right project for the TITAN and to meet the requirements of both sides, as much as possible.

Category of Projects

Java scored again in 2019 as the most in-demand position. We sent a total of 28 Java Developers into battle. The silver medal for 2019 went to all .NET Programmers (22 projects) and the bronze one was put on our JavaScript Developers (19 projects).

In 2019, we also saw an increase in demand for Project Managers. We allocated a total of 13 "PMPs“ to these positions.

We Are Growing

After 6 years of operation, our internal team consists of 15 core TITAN members. Our crew is continuously growing and we are very pleased to see that. Over next years, we would like to continue along the same lines.

In addition to growth in numbers, personal growth of our team as well as a growth of team spirit are very important to us. Therefore, in 2019, we pursued activities that further strengthened our stable TITAN relationships. One of them was our participation in ČSOB relay marathon in April 2019.

We also tried to meet our TITANS community as much as possible throughout 2019. We joined two great IT conferences in Slovakia - PYCON (March, 2019) and CODECON (April, 2019). This year, CODECON conference is under our patronage and we look forward to all the fun we are going to bring there.

Last year we also found some time to talk to IT students. We said hi to them at the Days of Opportunities conference, which was held by FEI STU in Bratislava. This year we are joining the conference again as it´s a great opportunity to meet the next generation of TITANS.

At the end of these #memorialsof2019, we would like to say THANK YOU to all our clients and every one of our TITANS for the trust they put in us in 2019. We are proud to be a part of your - not only working - lives and we are glad we all were able to again move closer towards our common goals. We believe the magic of 2020 will bring a lot of success and many great days to all of us.
